Installed on the van door and connected to the body panel, they work by engaging a bolt into a receiving bracket inside the van's bodywork, which is controlled by an external key. After Deadlocks, Van Slamlocks are the second most common type of additional lock fitted to vans. At Executive Autocare, we offer a comprehensive range of Slamlocks suitable for virtually all van makes and models available in the UK.

Slamlocks are designed for convenience and security, automatically locking the door as soon as it is shut, requiring no further interaction from the user. This makes them ideal for:

Van Slamlocks operate by deactivating the van's factory-fitted door handle and adding a surface-mounted lock. To open the van door, you must turn the key, which now acts as the door handle. Once the door is closed, the lock engages automatically—so always ensure you have your keys with you!

These locks allow independent access to different doors. For example, unlocking the side door won’t unlock the rear door, giving you easy, controlled access to your van.
